Bills carry four-game win streak into home contest with Eagles

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WHEC) – The Buffalo Bills are winners of four straight, welcoming in the reigning Super Bowl Champion, Philadelphia Eagles, into Highmark Stadium.

At 11-4, the Bills have already clinched a playoff spot and currently hold the AFC’s six-seed, but can still win the AFC East through these scenarios

  1. BILLS BEAT EAGLES, JETS + PATRIOTS LOSE TO JETS OR DOLPHINS
  2. BILLS BEAT JETS + PATRIOTS LOSE TO JETS AND DOLPHINS

For the time being, the Bills will focus on the 10-5 Eagles. Philadelphia has won back-to-back games, finding its footing after a three-game losing streak, and hopes to catch fire heading into the postseason.

This game will also serve as the penultimate regular season home game at the current iteration of Highmark Stadium.

  • Current winning: Eagles (3), 2015-present

Player to watch: Christian Benford

After a two-game stretch where he compiled two sacks, two interceptions, two touchdowns, and a fumble recovery, Christian Benford missed a week with an injury before returning to the lineup against the Browns.

Cleveland’s limited pass attack never really tested the fourth-year cornerback, but this week against AJ Brown and the Eagles, the challenge gets ramped back up.

Brown is 65 yards away from his fourth-straight 1,000 yard season and has caught fire as of late with 95 or more yards in four of his last five games.

The Bills will have their hands full at nearly every position group with Philly’s stout defense and world-class rushing attack so Buffalo needs to find one place to weaken an Eagle strength.

It could be Benford vs. Brown.
