Dec 12 (Reuters) – First Brands said on Friday it has appointed Charles Moore as the interim chief executive amid its bankruptcy restructuring process.
The auto parts maker’s founder Patrick James had stepped down as CEO in October.
First Brands, which makes filters, brakes and lighting systems, had filed for bankruptcy protection in late-September.
The company also filed a request for expedited relief to obtain near-term access to about $250 million.
The Ohio-based company said all of its distribution and manufacturing centers were operational and were shipping customer orders.
