GENEVA, N.Y. — Multiple fire agencies went to a house fire on Hastings Road in the Town of Geneva on Saturday night. The fire spread to multiple vehicles and a barn and caused one person to suffer smoke inhalation.
Ontario County Sheriff’s deputies went to the scene around 9:35 p.m., saying the home’s garage was fully up in flames, quickly spreading to the home. The homeowner was evaluated for smoke inhalation and was treated on the scene without having to go to a hospital, deputies said.
According to the Geneva Code Enforcement, the house was found to be uninhabitable. Multiple vehicles, a golf cart and camper, and a barn were damaged in the fire, deputies said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Other than the sheriff’s office, fire agencies from Geneva, White Springs, Oaks Corners, North Side, and West Lake went to the scene. Additionally, the Ontario County Fire Investigator and Mercy Flight EMS responded.
