Davionte Terrell was honored by Evangela Stanley, the owner of People’s Choice Kitchen, who brought him and several other business owners together to thank him for his actions. Stanley said Terrell helped a woman up who was caught in the middle of a brawl on the final day of the festival.

Terrell said it all goes back to his upbringing.

“It’s probably just cause I was raised by my grandma and my mom so, it was probably just instinct. I have two daughters too, I’m overly protective of women, so it’s just probably that,” Terrell said. “And then I witnessed it, so I couldn’t just turn away like I didn’t notice an older lady on the floor.”

Stanley is hoping to find the two other people who helped the woman up during the fights.
