ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police say they’re looking for whoever fired shots at a parked car with two people inside on Wednesday night, causing them to drive away and crash.
The car crashed into another car on Dewey Avenue near Emerson Street. Officers say they responded around 8:10 p.m. after getting reports of gunfire, then found the crash, with one car having three bullet holes.
RPD says two men, 20 and 30, were sitting in the parked car outside of a corner store on Dewey Avenue. That’s when, according to investigators, the suspect walked out from behind a building and started shooting.
Police say the suspect ran away before the crash. Neither person was injured in the crash or the shooting. However, the driver of the other car was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for evaluation.
Police say both cars had to be towed from the scene. Check back for updates.
