BRIGHTON, N.Y. — Hundreds of Rochester seventh graders explored potential career paths at the Future Fair held at Monroe Community College’s Brighton campus. Students from every Rochester City School District middle school attended the event.
Business leaders, educators, and entrepreneurs shared their experiences and passion for their work. The event aimed to inspire students, build excitement about career paths, and help them envision a bright future.
Organizers emphasized the importance of exposing students to various career options they might not have known about otherwise.
“That knowledge, that empowerment, to know that anything is possible makes it so they want to learn more, they want to find out what’s next in any one of the pathways for themselves,” said organizers.
Nearly 70 career models participated in the event, showcasing a wide range of professions.
