ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The annual “Just One” campaign to support the Al Sigl Community of Agencies kicked off on Thursday night with a party at Fairport Brewing Company on University Avenue in Rochester.
Al Sigl’s donation drive funds services for children and adults with disabilities in the area. Thursday’s event aimed to support the community while offering a fun experience. Dozens of attendees enjoyed dining, drinking, and dancing to a live band.
“This brings in funds that support all sorts of agencies that support the local Rochester community. And without fundraisers like this, we don’t really have the money to do what Al Sigl does,” said Randy Havens, a member of the Al Sigl Council.
Partway into the event, organizers reported raising more than $17,000. Al Sigl recently began sending envelopes in the mail, asking people to donate any amount to support the over 55,000 people who they serve. You can also donate to Al Sigl online here.
