Verizon makes another attempt to install a cell tower in Webster, vote passes to advance project

WEBSTER, N.Y. — Verizon is making another attempt to install a cell tower in the town of Webster, presenting its plans at a town board meeting Thursday night.

Last year, Verizon’s initial proposal to place the tower in the woods behind a residential area on Creekside Trail was rejected by the board in August. The company is now suggesting a new location in a more remote area near the corner of County Line and Lake Roads.

The Webster Town Board unanimously agreed to advance the project.

It will now proceed to the Webster Planning Board for site plan review.
