The owners expressed excitement about the reopening. They had been worried about their staff’s wages and the restaurant’s future after the crash. Co-owner Whitney Sinkowitz said the community’s support and their own hard work helped them reopen so quickly.
“The donations that came in, the tips from the few fundraisers that we did have allowed us to make sure that our people are taken care of while we take care of what this mess was, and have allowed us to make sure that our staff are safe through a traditionally slow season in the restaurant industry,” said Sinkowitz.
The owners said the crash happened on the day they received their green ticket, confirming the restaurant was up to code on all safety inspections. This ticket has been reinstated following kitchen repairs.
“Salt.” is returning to its original hours. Check its social media pages for any changes.
