ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A convicted felon has pleaded guilty to a new child pornography charge.
Prosecutors say 41-year-old Brett Bedford was convicted of possessing obscene sexual performance by a child less than 16 in 2020. He was sentenced to serve six months in prison followed by ten years of probation.
On Jan. 27, 2025, a Monroe County Probation Officer did a home inspection on Bedford’s home where prosecutors say the officer found child porn on an unauthorized phone.
Bedford is scheduled for sentencing in May. He faces a minimum penalty of ten years in prison, a maximum of 20 years, and a fine of $250,000.
