RPD: 4 injured when rear-ended on East Main by driver who faces DWI charge

 

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Four people were injured Monday evening when their Chevrolet SUV was rear-ended by a Hyundai SUV at the intersection of East Main Street and Culver Road.

According to Rochester Police, both SUVs were headed east on East Main Street when the Hyundai rear-ended the Chevrolet at about 7:01 a.m. The Hyundai initially drove off but was quickly found by police, according to the RPD. The driver faces a driving while intoxicated charge as well as other vehicle and traffic charges.

The four occupants of the Chevrolet — a man, a woman, and two teenage boys, all of Irondequoit, were taken to the hospital for upper body pain. Their injuries were determined not to be life-threatening.
