ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Education students from the Rochester Institute of Technology visited Rochester School No. 5 on Plymouth Avenue on Wednesday, Dec. 3, for an arts and crafts event.
University students teamed up with kids to make holiday ornaments, snow globes and decorations. This event provided RIT students with real-world experience in a local school.
“It’s super important for us to be a part of the community,” said Sage Green, an RIT grad student. “It’s super important for us to give back to the community that gives so much to us and to really meet the families and the kids that live here and just be more immersed into Rochester.”
The event was organized by School No. 5’s Expanded Learning Art Club.
