ROCHESTER, N.Y. — An 18-year-old is hospitalized in critical condition after he was shot on Tuesday night at the corner of Emerson Street and Sawdey Way in the Edgerton neighborhood.
Rochester Police shared the update on the victim’s condition on Wednesday morning. Officers found the young man with an upper-body gunshot wound around 9:20 p.m. after responding to a ShotSpotter alert.
An ambulance took him to the hospital. News10NBC saw officers close off a large area on Emerson Street on Tuesday night for the investigation. RPD says no suspects are in custody and anyone with information should call 911.
