OREM, U.T — A suspect is in custody after a shooting at an event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday. Right-wing pundit and CEO of Turning Point USA, Charlie Kirk, was shot.
Kirk was speaking at the event for about 20 minutes before witnesses heard gunshots ring out from a nearby building.
Videos from the shooting have already started flooding social media, showing blood pouring from Kirk’s neck after a shot rings out.
Utah Valley University is in Orem, Utah, near Provo. Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle are speaking out about the violence.
