18-year-old hospitalized after being shot on South Plymouth Avenue

 

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — An 18-year-old is recovering after a shooting on South Plymouth Avenue on Wednesday night that led to several streets being shut down.

It happened near Luther Circle and across the river from the University of Rochester campus. Rochester Police closed down part of Genesee Street and Frost Avenue for the investigation. Officers have since reopened the area.

Officers found the victim around 11 p.m. and an ambulance took him to the hospital. He is expected to survive. RPD says no suspects are in custody and anyone with information is asked to call 911.
