SODUS, N.Y. — A Webster man is facing charges after a deadly crash in Sodus Friday night.
State Police say 41-year-old Robert Meyers was drunk driving a pickup truck when he hit the back of a motorcycle on State Route 104 near North Centenary Road. It happened just after 7 p.m.
Troopers said the motorcyclist had slowed down to make a left turn when the crash happened. The motorcyclist was thrown off the bike and died at the scene.
Meyers was charged with the following:
- Vehicular Manslaughter 2nd (D Felony)
- Driving While Intoxicated (Unclassified Misdemeanor)
- Driving While Intoxicated, .08% BAC or Greater (Unclassified Misdemeanor)
