ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A woman, 64, was taken to the hospital after Rochester Police say a car hit her on Genesee Street near Stratford Park and took off.
According to RPD, officers later found the suspected driver, who said he didn’t know he had hit anyone. Officers responded to the crash around 4:45 p.m. on Friday and found the woman with minor injuries to her lower body.
After an ambulance took her away, officers reviewed footage and got a description of the car that backed into the woman while she was walking. Police say they went to the registered car owner’s house and found a car that matched the description.
According to RPD, the 32-year-old man said he was driving in the area on Friday. He was given a citation, accused of leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.
