ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A 39-year-old man is dead after Rochester Police say he was shot overnight Saturday.
Police say they got reports of a shooting at around 3:30 a.m. Saturday in the area of Bock Street in Rochester.
They say when they got there, they found the man lying on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives say they learned that there was a birthday party at a nearby home and people at the party got into an altercation which resulted in the victim, who was at the party, being shot and killed.
Police say its Major Crimes Homicide Unit is investigating and is asking anyone with information to call 911.
