First Alert Weather: Timing some rounds of rain and warmer days on the way

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Increasing clouds this morning with some light precipitation arriving later in the day. Well south of Rochester mid to late morning some light wintry mix will be possible but not expecting any impacts for travel. Plain rain showers will develop around metro Rochester at times this afternoon into the evening. Raindrops clear overnight and clouds will break on Wednesday for some sunshine and a nice day with temperatures well into the 40s. Thursday will bring our next system with clouds increasing and some rain towards evening. Steady rain Thursday night will taper to scattered showers on Friday as milder air moves in with temps near 50 degrees.

The first real taste of spring will arrive on Saturday. A surge of warmth will bring temps well into the 60s with a few towns perhaps making a run towards 70 degrees. The record high is 68 set back in 2012. Rain will arrive late in the day and at night. Behind that system skies will clear and it will be a little cooler on Sunday in the 50s. More warmth heads out way next week for Tuesday and Wednesday before a more significant front brings wind and rain and colder weather after that. Stay tuned to News10 for latest on the warmth and timing of the rain over the next week.
