‘A Christmas Carol’ returning to Geva Theatre during holiday season

 

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The holidays are coming up, which means the return of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” to the Geva Theatre.

Ebenezer Scrooge will be visited by the ghosts of Christmas in the heartwarming tale of family and generosity.

The first performance will be held on Sunday, Nov. 22 and will run through Sunday, Dec. 28. Michael Preston will be reprising his role as Ebenezer Scrooge, previously playing Scrooge at Geva in 2022, 2023, and 2024. He also played Scrooge at Hartford Stage in Hartford, CT.

On Saturday, Dec. 27, there will be a free performance for Blue Star Families, who are active-duty service men and women, veterans, and their families.

There will also be a number of accessible performances being held. Here are the dates for them all:

  • Sunday, Dec. 14 at 12:00 p.m.

  • Saturday, Nov. 29 at 2 p.m.
